LEAGUE TITLE SEASON 3

After 3 seasons, Aston Villa has conquered its title!

The starlet ridden squad has finally managed to bag the prized title, achieving the success of their millionaire investments under Ben SCFC. It wasn't quite the explosive points' difference of Bordeaux's title, but a consistent one nonetheless. Lining up Haaland, Mbappé, Vinicius and many others, a title would be just a matter of time, secured with the good ol' 4-2-3-1. 22yo winger Vinícius Junior shared the golden boot with his compatriot Gabriel Jesus, who scored 12 goals for a promoted Vasco da Gama.

Manager Shankly Gates' Vascão surprised the world of football by beating the odds in the top tier, finishing 5th in this particular circle of hell. But it's their fellow South American of Santiago Wanderers who deserve the most praise, finishing 2nd under antonio iudici, 8 point's distance from the Villan champions. Massive achievement, by not only maintaining their top tier status after spending the first season in 2nd division, but bringing the Chilean club to new heights.

In the lower leagues, Académica won the 2nd league title after a failed highjack last season, and will be followed to the top tier by Újpest of Niloc Namrep, securing the automatic pass with a below average rating squad, and the English comeback king of Sheffield Wednesday, who managed back to back promotions under new gaffer Jim Snowden, who took on the job after 1st season's relegation.

After 3 consecutive seasons as the favourites to the 3rd tier title, Eric Rona's Gimnàstic Tarragona have finally managed their target, preceded by frustrating failed attempts; but the 3rd time is the charm. With John carter at the helm of Nottingham Forest, no one could've expected less than automatic promotion, followed by the Scottish comeback kings of Hearts of Midlothian, filling the last promotion slot via play-offs with Henry Pratt.

And speaking of "a matter of time", the Örgryte Vikings have secured a 13 points margin title, and will return to the 3rd tier next season. Arturo Magnanensi is followed by other two fellow returnees, as St George's of Malta pass under new manager don don and play-off winners Albion of Ash JB.

Another great season, and I have only to thank all managers who kept this setup a fun and respectfull environment. To many more!

About the artwork, I felt like experimenting with something different. The thicker lines and less crafted textures create a more expressive image, from which I took immense pleasure in drawing (if the original photo is high resolution, of course; on an unrelated matter, please don't zoom in too much on Ricardo Horta). It almost resembles pop art, which I aspire to try in the near future just for sh*ts and giggles. Hope you enjoy it!
